Il Y a Du Vent

The wind wants to vent
And argue with the arbour,
Feud with forest dwellers
Ruffle feathers and harbours

It wants to get in your face
Disgrace your pompadour
It wants to wrangle with the willows
And rattle your back door

It wants to gang up on geraniums
And contend with conifers,
It wants to mix it up with magnolias,
Jump on jittery junipers

It wants to hammer wheat fields
Hassle Cessnas and ferry schedules fluster
It wants to sound off, rant, harangue
Battle, bicker and bluster

It wants to flip birds
All over the seething sky
Don't dare defy the wind's
Bombastic diatribe
